Tyler, TX (August 29, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in the Tyler area claimed the lives of two people. The Texas Department of Public Safety was informed of the collision at around 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety indicate that an SUV was traveling northbound on Farm to Market Road 2908. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of County Road 384, a pickup truck collided with it. Two passengers in the pickup truck were fatally injured. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to hospitals in Tyler for emergency care. The accident is under investigation.
