Car Accidents in Texas
Texas roads are among the busiest in the country, with more than 4,000 traffic fatalities and thousands of injury crashes reported annually. In high-traffic areas, particularly intersections, crashes can quickly escalate due to high speeds, distractions, and quick decision-making. These kinds of accidents can leave victims struggling physically, emotionally, and financially in the aftermath.
When it comes to car accidents, here are some of the most common types of injuries seen in Texas:
- Back Injuries: Herniated discs, sprains, and fractures are all common in collisions. These injuries can require surgery or extensive therapy and often result in lasting discomfort.
- Soft Tissue Injuries: Muscle strains and ligament damage may not be visible but can cause lingering pain and limit mobility. These injuries are often difficult to document, which is why early medical attention is vital.
- Broken Bones: High-impact crashes frequently lead to fractures. Whether in the arms, legs, or ribs, broken bones can limit independence and prevent victims from returning to work.
- Lacerations and Bruising: Airbags, broken glass, or vehicle frames can cause serious cuts and bruises. Deep lacerations often require stitches and can leave permanent scarring.
- Internal Injuries: Damage to internal organs from seat belt force or blunt trauma may not show immediately but can be life-threatening without timely treatment.
- Knee and Joint Damage: Sudden force during a crash can impact the knees, shoulders, or hips. These injuries may require long-term rehab or even surgical repair.
