Smith Co., TX (August 15, 2024) – At around 5:10 p.m. on August 13, the police and firefighters in Smith County were called to provide help at the scene of an automobile accident that resulted in injuries.
Official reports show that a black SUV and a black pickup truck collided on Interstate 20. The Texas Department of Public Safety and firefighters responded to the scene and immediately shut down the roadway near mile marker 573 on the westbound side at Brooks Lane. Emergency medical services immediately started to provide medical care to the victims who were injured as a result of the crash. At least one of the people involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
