Tyler, TX (August 31, 2024) – Emergency crews were requested to provide help at the scene of a major multi-vehicle accident that occurred in the city of Tyler. The accident took place at around 12:10 p.m. on August 30.

Police reports show that a semi-truck tractor-trailer, a black truck, a red passenger car, and one additional vehicle collided on Silverwood Drive. Authorities arrived at the scene and located all of the involved motorcars blocking multiple lanes of the road near West Southwest Loop 323. Emergency officials immediately shut down the road to clear the involved vehicles. Paramedics were notified that they were needed at the scene to care for victims. At least one of the people involved in the crash required further medical attention and was transported to a local hospital. The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
