Nacogdoches, TX (October 7, 2024) – Two people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon, October 6.
Official reports show that 70-year-old Jeffery Forsythe and his 11-year-old passenger were traveling on US Highway 59 during the afternoon hours. At around four p.m., a Volvo truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling on the same roadway when it became involved in a collision with Forsythe’s vehicle, a 2010 Ford F150 pickup truck. Further investigations determined that the Volvo had a blowout, which caused the truck to cross over the median and collide with the Ford. Forsythe and his passenger were both rushed to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
