Beaumont, TX (September 11, 2024) – A woman was injured as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place in Beaumont. On September 11, authorities were informed of a motor vehicle accident on Dowlen Road.
Reports show that a female was walking in the 3400 block of the roadway when she was struck by a Dodge Charger. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 33-year-old Arthur Rideaux, fled the scene of the crash. He reportedly called law enforcement and made up a fake story that his vehicle was stolen. The pedestrian was injured in the accident and transported to an area hospital. Rideaux was later arrested for the accident. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
