Mr. McGuire received his Bachelors of Business Administration, cum laude, in 2000 from The University of Texas At Tyler, where he served as president of the student government association. After graduating from U.T. Tyler, Mr. McGuire co-founded Bridgewater Securities, LLC, a professional securities trading firm, and successfully traded securities for four years prior to attending law school. Mr. McGuire received his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, in 2006 from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he served as an editor of the Texas Tech Law Review, and received numerous awards for academic excellence.
Work & Memberships
Mr. McGuire was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2006. He began his practice with Mayo Mendolia & Starr, LLP, and later joined Starr Schoenbrun Comte McGuire PLLC before starting The McGuire Firm, PC in 2015.
Mr. McGuire is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Smith County Bar Association, and the Smith County Young Lawyer’s Association. Mr. McGuire is admitted to practice law in Texas state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas, the Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
