188th District Court for Gregg County, Texas

Cause No.: 2017-1724-A

Trial Date: December 10-11, 2018

Case Type: Personal Injury

Summary: My client ran red-light, and t-boned Plaintiff’s vehicle on the driver’s side. Both parties were taken to the ER by EMS. Over the following months Plaintiff experience neck, back, shoulder, and rib pain she attributed to the accident. During discovery, Plaintiff admitted she’d been to a chiropractor for a couple years prior to the accident, but had to go with greater frequency after the accident. My client could not participate in the trial. She was elderly, and after the accident began experiencing significant Alzheimer’s symptoms. On the final date of treatment, Plaintiff underwent an MRI that was essentially negative. The accident was in July of 2016 and Plaintiff treated through mid-December of 2016. Given the impact of the collision I asked the jury to award the Plaintiff all of her medical bills, lost wages, and up to $3,500 in non-economic damages, and the jury went with my suggestions.

Economic damages: $11,915.77

Verdict: $15,415.77
